Building a community of Jesus disciples and disciple makers.

Our Key doctrines: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, salvation, the Church, and the work of the Holy Spirit today (including healing and deliverance if that is central for you).

When and how the church started, and why the name “Life Center Church of Deliverance” matters.

Life Center Church of Deliverance was birthed on Resurrection Sunday, April 3, 1983, when seven believers gathered in the basement of Apostle Lorenzo and Pastor Brenda Irving’s home on Chicago’s South/West Side. What began as a small group responding to God’s call quickly grew into a fiery ministry committed to preaching the uncompromised Gospel with signs following. We honor the memory of Evangelist Esther Yates and Sis. Bernice Champs, who now rest in the presence of the Lord.

From those humble beginnings, God led our church through a series of faith-filled expansions; first to 5350 W. Division (1983), then to 5624 W. Division (1986), and later to 5445 W. North Avenue (1988), where the School of Ministry was established and many leaders were trained and released into their calling.

In 1994, we moved to our current home at 855 N. Monticello, first sharing the space with the Lutheran Family Mission. After nine years of faithful stewardship, God blessed us to purchase the property outright including the adjacent lot at 854 N. Central Park Ave. In 2022, to the glory of God, the entire property was paid off.  Today, Life Center Church of Deliverance continues to stand as a testimony of God’s strength, faithfulness, and favor. We remain committed to the pillars that built this ministry which are prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, salvation, evangelism, and deliverance. We joyfully embrace the next generation rising to carry this legacy forward.

Truly, there is an army marching through the land… and Life Center Church of Deliverance is still marching on! Our culture will reflect the Heart of God for the generation we are serving.

Our Beliefs

We are a Spirit-filled, Apostolic Prophetic community advancing God’s Kingdom through truth, power, and purpose.

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Son of God, Savior of the world, and head of the Church. Through His life, death, and resurrection, salvation, freedom, and new life are made available to all who believe. We affirm His authority over every area of life and commit to living in obedience to His Word, led by the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God.

Family matters to God, and connection matters to us. We believe healthy relationships build strong families and a thriving church.
